Our adorable Teddy Bear English Goldendoodles are a hybrid cross between a purebred AKC English Cream Golden Retriever and a AKC Miniature Poodle. As puppies they look like a fluffy teddy bear, which is the reason for the name. English Cream Golden Retrievers are known for their mild temperament, stocky build, square face, and beautiful long wavy coat. Poodles are intelligent, loyal and instinctual. Goldendoodles blend these two exceptional breeds and their desirable traits, providing a dog with hybrid vigor.
Temperament:
Doodles are intelligent and obedient. They are loyal to their family and friends of strangers.
Trainability:
Doodles are highly trainable due to their intelligence and their enthusiasm. We recommend that you begin puppy training classes as early as possible to ensure that your puppy is a well-mannered family friend.
Grooming:
Doodles require regular brushing and combing to maintain their coat in excellent condition. A haircut every 8-12 weeks is recommended to shorten the coat for ease of care.
Unique Benefits:
Their low to non-shedding coats are highly desirable, proving to be hypoallergenic. They are exceptional choices as service and therapy dogs.
Socialization:
Doodles are incredibly social! They enjoy meeting new people and other dogs. They are typically not aggressive toward other dogs, cats, or people.
Activity Ideas:
"Fetch" comes naturally to the Doodles due to their innate retrieving instinct. Canine sports, swimming, walking or hiking are excellent activities for this intelligent breed.
